a gel liner revolution?

Benefit They're Real Push-Up Liner, £18.50

I'm sure you've read countless reviews of this eyeliner by now. I admit, I was a little late to the party, but I just couldn't justify the cost until I stumbled across in it Manchester Airport Duty Free. It was in a set with a full sized version of the They're Real Mascara, and it just seemed like such a good deal that I couldn't pass it up. I've read mixed reviews on this, so I thought I'd offer my opinion, just in case anybody isn't yet sure about splashing out on it.

lorac pro: is it worth the hype?

This palette has been absolutely everywhere for as long as I can remember. It's constantly being raved about by beauty bloggers and I've always been curious about whether or not it's as good as people claim. I was lucky enough to get my hands on it when I recently visited the US and I've been very impressed so far.

the hair saviour

Not Your Mother's Intensive Hair Unit Renewal Treatment
Not Your Mother's is one of those brands that I've heard about repeatedly on countless beauty blogs, but I've never had the chance to try anything, largely because it's not yet available in the UK. The website does say that UK distribution is coming soon though, which is an exciting prospect! While browsing Walmart when I was on holiday, I found a selection of products and picked a few up, this being one of them. After only a few uses, it's proven to be one of my favourite hair products.

september favourites!

this month has passed by way too quickly for my liking. in general, the entire month of September is a favourite for me, as it's my birthday month (if you're reading this on the day I posted it, my birthday is TODAY!). I also love the change in weather and general atmosphere that makes September such a lovely, cosy little month.
Let's take a look at the beauty products which brightened up my little world this month

my make up storage - part two

As promised, here is the second part of my make up organisation post. This time, we'll be delving deep into the big white cabinet which houses the majority of my make up. I think this was from QVC, it was a graduation present from my grandparents. I'm not sure you can get it any more, but I'll add a link if I manage to find one.
Onwards!

OPI Icons of Style

I'm a sucker for a new OPI collection. When I heard that they were releasing a range of shades based on Coca Cola beverages, I was beyond excited. Especially for the Diet Coke shade, as it's probably my favourite drink ever. It took me a while to actually pick up any of the shades, but when I saw this set of two on sale in the World of Coca Cola in Atlanta, the opportunity was too good to pass up.

My Signature is "DC" is a bright shimmery silver inspired by Diet Coke. This has a different name in Europe and is instead called Turn on the Haute Light. I believe this is because the majority of mainland Europe has Coke Light instead of Diet Coke (which is absolutely not the same drink. I lived in Germany for a year and Coke Light is horrible :( ) I've been wearing this as an accent nail lately and it's really gorgeous: it doesn't take that many coats to become opaque and it's lasted a really long time on me. I couldn't have asked for a better nail polish to represent my favourite drink.

Coca-Cola Red is exactly what the name suggests: the exact red colour of the label on a Coke bottle. I think it might be a tiny bit darker on the nails, but that might be because I did more than one coat. In the bottle it's practically exactly the same colour as the Coke label. This is also very long lasting and pretty much opaque in two coats. I love a classic red nail polish, and I love that this one is an extra special shade of red.

This has been my favourite combo to wear since I bought the set: above is two coats without top coat (because I couldn't find it).
These shades are available in a set together or separately; they're currently on sale at Beauty Bay.

a glimpse into my makeup storage - part one

When I got back from my holiday with a whole load of new make up and beauty products, I decided it was time for a major reshuffle. The way I stored a lot of things changed, and I'm finally pretty happy with my set up. I thought I'd offer an insight into how I store all of my stuff. It'll be split into two parts, with the first part focussing on the general make up area and then the second diving into the super organised white cabinet you see in the middle there.
Let's go!
